Once the intro movie was playing it was very choppy but again this was due to it playing in a window and I had to start playing one of the neighbourhoods, or going to the tutorial, select the options menu and turn off windowed mode. This is because being laptop friendly the game starts off in windowed mode and for some reason this mode takes longer to load in my computer. The initial start-up of the game takes a long time so please be patient.
There is no online activation though which is good. I didn’t have any problems installing this on my vista machine but as usual you will need the serial code included with the disc. The game does NOT require the sims 2 to play, it’s its own game that has been specially made to be laptop friendly, as the sims 2 at the time often wasn’t. This game is a great stand alone title in the sims franchise.
